Christopher Caudill



Biography

Horn player Christopher Caudill has been invited to perform with the National Symphony for the 2013 - 2014 season. He joined the North Carolina Symphony in 2003. He earned a degree in European history at Northwestern University before studying horn with the Chicago Symphony's Dale Clevenger. He performed with the Chicago Civic Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony, and spent two summers at Tanglewood. He is a frequent chamber musician with ensembles in the Raleigh-Durham area, including the Brussels Chamber Orchestra during the summer Cross Currents festival, the North Carolina Symphony's Manning Series at Peace College, brass music at Duke Chapel, and woodwind quintets with the NC Collaborative (a combination of faculty members from East Carolina University, University of North Carolina-Greensboro, and the North Carolina Symphony). Upcoming projects include a recording of Bach's Cantata number 1 on original instruments with North Carolina Baroque. Christopher and his wife Rachel Niketopoulos (North Carolina Symphony fourth horn) also perform on Baroque horn copies by Richard Seraphinoff of Indiana University.
