Biography

Dulcie Taylor has released three all original CDs for Mesa/Bluemoon Recordings.  Her latest, Free of this Sorrow (2012), has been No. 1 at Amazon for Top-rated Alt-Country/Americana.  Her first Mesa CD, Diamond & Glass, won the Wammie (Washington Area Music Award) for Best Contemporary Folk Recording, and also charted at Album Network's non-commercial AAA.  Her next CD, Mirrors and Windows also received much radio airplay, reaching number seven on the Roots Rock Chart at Roots Music Report, and was chosen as one of the Best Recordings of the Year by Soundstage, along with CDs by such artists as Brian Wilson, Los Lobos, and Wilco.  Taylor has shared the stage with a long and impressive list of artists including Bonnie Raitt, Jerry Lee Lewis, Asleep at the Wheel, Vern Gosdin, and Kathy Mattea.  She has performed at a wide range of venues including Mainstage at the Kerrville Folk Festival (TX), The Kennedy Center (DC), The Birchmere (VA), The Ramshead (VA), The Bluebird (TN), Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour (KY), and The Iron Horse (MA).  She serves on the board for the O.B.
