Last Train Home

While roots-rock is the core of Last Train Home sound, don’t overlook the country, swing, bluegrass, blues, folk, pop, and Tin Pan Alley influences.

Led by former Washington Post music columnist Eric Brace, Last Train Home has played more than a thousand shows since its 1997 beginning, including tours of Australia, Germany, Switzerland, and the Virgin Islands. They were named Washington, D.C.'s “Artist of the Year” by the Washington Area Music Association in 2003 and have been at it full-time ever since.

The latest CD, Six Songs, was released on the Red Beet Records label that Brace founded in 2006. With six full-length recordings under its belt, along with a Christmas EP and another collection of cover tunes, Last Train Home is a prolific band that gets better with each release. With no signs of slowing down, Last Train Home is one of the most dynamic and compelling bands on the landscape of American music.

Now living in Nashville, Last Train Home frontman Eric Brace also runs his own label, Red Beet Records. Their latest release is a Grammy-nominated children’s CD, I Love Tom T. Hall’s Songs of Fox Hollow.
