Eva Signý Berger

Eva Signý Berger studied design for performance at Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design in
London and completed her B.A. degree in 2007. Ms. Berger works as a freelance designer in Reykjavik, Iceland, where she has designed sets, costumes, and sometimes lighting for theater productions and exhibitions. Her most recent work includes Aladdin by Bernd Ogrodnik; Breaking News by VaVaVoom; Harmsaga; and Svanir skilja ekki (Svans Mate for Life), both at the National Theatre of Iceland. Ms. Berger is particularly interested in improvisation, physical theater, and puppetry, in its widest sense. In 2006 she did an internship with master puppeteer Bernd Ogrodnik and has since worked on various
productions with a number of puppeteers, designing and constructing sets and costumes, as well as designing and making her own puppets. Currently Eva is designing the stage for Wide Slumber, an interdisciplinary performance, intertwining live music and visual theater, produced by VaVaVoom and
Bedroom Community.
