Chuck Treece



Biography

As both a professional skateboarder and prolific musician, Chuck Treece defines what skaterock is all about. From Philadelphia, he is a driving force behind the skate punk band McRad, has remixed songs for Amy Grant and Sting, and has sessioned with countless musicians from Billy Joel to Pearl Jam to Bad Brains. The span of his sponsored career was 1982–1990. He started out with Madrid skateboards, Gull Wing Trucks, and OJ Wheels. From there, he went to Santa Cruz Skateboards, Thunder Trucks, and OJ Wheels. He had a pro model on Sure Grip and then after that he got boards flowed to him by Powell-Peralta, care of Stacy Peralta. Treece also rode for Ollie Wheels and Airwalk Sneakers. He's currently riding Thunder Trucks and Spit Fire wheels and needless to say, he's riding Old School skateboard products out of Philly; reason being, there will be a McRad board coming out on Old School skateboard products.
