Jimmy Pelletier

Biography

Skateboarding was introduced to D.C. native Jimmy Pelletier by his sister at age 5 in 1976. He learned on a plastic Free Former board on the streets of Columbia Pike. By 1984, he discovered the underground culture of skateboarding and alternative punk rock music. It became an everyday obsession. In 2007, he finally was able to get his foot in the door with using the power of skateboarding to help others and so he created a super team called The DC Wheels. Skate Crusaders, if you want to call them that, have been doing benefits, charities, and fundraisers to change and save lives in the metropolitan area since then.
