Johnny Schillereff

Biography

Johnny Schillereff got his first skateboard at the age of four and a lifetime passion was instantly discovered. Johnny created deep roots in the world of skateboarding and its related subcultures of hip-hop and graffiti. Additionally, he was great lover of the natural world and spent time developing in the wilderness. In pursuit of these passions Johnny developed a distinct pairing of urban culture and a real appreciation of the natural environment--and in that spirit Element Skateboards was born.

Element was created with a dedication to making a positive difference, and bringing together a unique, inspired group of individuals. Today, Element, in conjunction with its non-profit partner Elemental Awareness, has worked directly with thousands of youth all over the world through the avenues of skateboarding, art, and wilderness skills. Johnny's entrepreneurial and playful artistic spirit is greatly influenced by the imaginative works of Jim Henson, Dr. Seuss, Charles Schulz, Mark Gonzales, and Neil Blender.
