Biography

Tim Rosser and Charlie Sohne are recipients of the 2015 Jonathan Larson Award, writers in the 2015 Rhinebeck Retreat, and 2014–2015 Dramatists Guild Fellows. Mr. Sohne and Mr. Rosser were also members of Civilian’s R&D Group and ASCAP’s Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project. Their songs have been featured at their sold-out 54 Below show, Birdland, Contemporary Classics at Seattle Rep, Cutting Edge Composers at Joe’s Pub, ALNM at Rockwell in Los Angeles, and later this fall at Above The Arts and Theatre Royal Stratford East in London and Broadway au Carre in Paris.

ASCAP presents Tim Rosser and Charlie Sohne, who are recipients of the 2015 Jonathan Larson Award, writers in the 2015 Rhinebeck Retreat, and 2014–2015 Dramatists Guild Fellows. Mr. Sohne and Mr. Rosser were also members of Civilian’s R&D Group and ASCAP’s Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project. Their show, The Boy Who Danced on Air, will be seen in full production at the Diversionary Theater this spring.  Their work has also been seen both at NAMT's New Works festival and at the Yale Institute for Music Theater.  Their songs have been featured at their sold-out 54 Below show, Birdland, Contemporary Classics at Seattle Rep, Cutting Edge Composers at Joe’s Pub, ALNM at Rockwell in Los Angeles, and later this fall at Above The Arts and Theatre Royal Stratford East in London and Broadway au Carre in Paris.
