Jenna Makharita

Biography

Jenna discovered yoga when she was just a teenager. At a young age, the calling to immerse herself into the teachings of yoga and spiritual philosophy was undeniable. After completing her teacher training, Jenna began teaching around Northern Virginia and D.C. Approaching yoga as a practice rather than a skill, her teaching style is strong and playful; gently playing the edge of what's possible in the moment, while not taking ourselves too seriously, and always being mindful of the communications of the body. Jenna's focus lies in finding balance between strength and mobility. She works closely with students of all levels and with a wide variety of background knowledge. Yoga in all forms is an incredibly valuable practice to help restore and maintain balance in the body, mind and spirit; translating into balance in daily life. Jenna is a Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200 certified yoga teacher.
