Kyiv Ukraine’s hothouse of performance invention, CCA Dakh, home to international sensation DakhaBrakha (among other projects), introduces Teatr-Pralnia, a hybrid theatrical-puppet-cabaret troupe whose production draws on real time events, Facebook feeds, iconic Ukrainian poetry, catchy vamps, and improvised action. Through live music, projections, puppetry, and original text and songs, they ask: How do we understand the world around us? Who can we trust in a world of “fake news,” corruption and propaganda? Can we discern truth from deception? “TseSho?/What’s That?”
