Sheldon Lampert


A violinist with the National Symphony Orchestra since 1968, Sheldon Lampert was born in the Bronx, New York, and received his education from the Curtis Institute of Music and Catholic University. He studied violin with such teachers as Toshiya Eto and Aaron Rosand. He credits the Curtis Institute as being the greatest influence on his musical career and has appeared in concert in New York City, Philadelphia, and here in Washington. In addition to his responsibilities with the National Symphony, Mr. Lampert is active as a teacher.
