Charlotte Davis Paramore


Born into a musical family in Columbus, Ohio, Charlotte Davis Paramore began violin lessons in the public school system. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Music degree from Ohio State University. Before joining the National Symphony Orchestra in 1971, she was a member of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Paramore appeared twice as a soloist with the Columbus Symphony: first as the winner of their Young People's Competition during her high school years, and later again while she was a member of the orchestra. She has been a member of several chamber music ensembles, including the Columbus Symphony Quartet and the Howard University String Quartet, and in the D.C. area she has played with the Eclipse Chamber Orchestra. Ms. Paramore enjoys composing jazz music, and some of her rock and roll compositions have been recorded.
