Andrian Fadeev



Biography

Andrian Fadeev was born in St. Petersburg and graduated from Vaganova Ballet Academy in the class of Professor Vladilen Semenov. He joined the Mariinsky Theatre in 1995 and became a soloist in 1997. Mr. Fadeev is a winner of the Vaganova-Prix at the Third International Ballet Competition in St. Petersburg in 1995, the BALTIKA prize in 1998, and the high theatrical prize of St. Petersburg "Golden Sophit" in 2000. Additionally, he was awarded the 2000 "The Soul of Dance" Prize of Ballet magazine in St. Petersburg. Mr. Fadeev's roles include James in La Sylphide, Prince/Pas de Trois in Nutcracker, The Bluebird/Prince Desire in The Sleeping Beauty, Peasant's Pas de Deux/Albrecht in Giselle, Grand Pas Classique in Raymonda, Pas de Trois in Swan Lake, Vaslav in The Fountain of Bakhchisarai, Romeo/Troubadour in Romeo and Juliet, Apollo, the 1st movement in Symphony in C, Basil in Don Quixote, Emeralds/Rubies in Jewels, Petrushka in Petrushka, Nutcracker-prince in Chemiakin's The Nutcracker. He has also danced in Youth and Death, Neumeier's Now and Then, and Neumeier's The Sounds of Empty Pages.
