Sofia Gumerova



Biography

Sofia Gumerova was born in Moscow, graduated from the Vaganova Academy, and joined the Mariinsky Theatre in 1995. Her roles include Sylphide in La Sylphide, Big swans/Two swans/Odette-Odile in Swan Lake, Fee Candide/Princess Florine in The Sleeping Beauty, Monnah in Giselle, Clemans/Henriette/Grand Pas Hongroise in Raymonda, Nikia/Gamzatti's Grand Pas/Pas de Trois in La Bayadere, Street dancer/Lady Dryad in Don Quixote, Pas de Trois in Le Corsaire, Young Women in The Fountain of Bakhchisarai, Emeralds/ Rubies in Jewels, Princess Alba in Goya-Divertissement, and Prelude/Mazurka in Chopiniana. Ms. Gumerova has also danced in "Paquita" Grand Pas (variation), Pas de Quatre, Pas de six, Symphony in C (I part), Serenade, Scotch Symphony, Dolce, con fuoco, and Theme and Variations.
