Higher Hands

Higher Hands is a veteran quartet of heavy hitters bringing the Soul-Funk revival to new audiences nightly. Having held down a successful residency for over two years at Armadillo's in downtown Annapolis, the band has built a dedicated fanbase while consistently developing their original material. Higher Hands are known for taking the party deep into the night with an extensive catalog of songs and their relentless energy. The band keeps the crowd moving until the lights go on and the bar goes dark.

In 2008, Higher Hands was asked to open shows for Soulive, The New Mastersounds, and DC's Mambo Sauce, performing at top music venues including Rams Head Live and the 8x10 Club. In November 2008, the band made its debut in downtown Philadelphia at the prestigious Chris' Jazz Cafe and has been asked to perform monthly for their Sunset Sessions artist showcase. Building on the success of 2008, Higher Hands is excited to bring their high-energy, soul-funk sound to new audiences.

Higher Hands' debut record blends the sounds of vintage funk, jazz fusion, and alternative hip hop. Grab Hold was released August 1st, 2008 at Baltimore's 8x10 Club.  The evening was opended by special guest Raashan Ahmad of Crown City Rockers.
