Simon Mckeown


Simon Mckeown is an established artist with a radical interest in representing disability in new and innovative ways. After receiving his bachelor of fine arts, Mckeown became one of the earliest artists to utilize digital media in the UK, starting work in London in 1987. His work titled Motion Disabled has been projected on buildings and viewed in venues all over the UK and in Korea. Mckeown, who has osteogenesis imperfecta and hearing loss, lives in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, and is a reader in animation and post-production at the University of Teesside, Middlesbrough, in the UK.
