Bad Influence Band

Bad Influence Band, the premier Washington, DC band, has been playing their brand of blues-infused, high energy music since the humble beginnings in 1988. The award-winning Bad Influence features Bob Mallardi on bass and vocals; Hohner endorsed artist Roger Edsall on harp and vocals; Epiphone endorsed artist Michael "Jr" Tash on guitar and vocals; and Sonor endorsed David Thaler on the drums. Bad Influence boasts an original blend of Chicago blues, swing, American roots and a tinge of rock, packaged into an energy-charged delivery that consistently pleases both blues fanatics and non-blues fans alike.

From foreign shores to local haunts, accolades abound for Bad Influence. Washingtonian Magazine hails Bad Influence as "a part of a long and worthy Washington blues tradition." In fact, the band's performances and CDs have earned winning reviews in magazines and newspapers throughout the U.S. and abroad. Their latest CD, Tastes Like Chicken, won the 2001 Best Blues Recording award from the Washington Area Music Association (WAMMIE). They were nominated for 3 more Wammie awards in 2003 - Best Blues Band, Michael Tash for Blues Instrumentalist and Roger Edsall for Blues Vocalist.
