Swami YoMahmi


Stephon Walker is a member of Actors' Equity and has been a professional actor and performer in the Washington, D.C. area for more than 25 years. He holds a B.A. in Acting from Pennsylvania State University.

He's been seen off-Broadway with the comedy troupe Shakespeare's Skum, and in a wide variety of roles including the title character in Cyrano de Bergerac, Malvolio in Twelfth Night, and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, all at the New Dominion Shakespeare Festival; Jesus in Godspell; Juror 11 in Twelve Angry Men; and has been in several productions at the acclaimed Imagination Stage.

Mr. Walker has also appeared as Swami Yomahmi in the "Miracle Cures" episode of National Geographic Channel's Is It Real?, Skeptical Inquirer Magazine, and in the book Weird Virginia. He has done several commercials, including stunt and acting work as an accident-prone homeowner in a series of spots for Katchmark Construction. His stunt work can be seen in a number of award-winning History Channel programs about the Civil War. He is a Society of American Fight Directors certified Stage Combatant.

In addition to being the founder of Cheeky Monkey Sideshow, Mr. Walker is, along with Steve Wannall, part of the Pickled Punks BIG MAGIC and Completely Mental shows.

Swami Yomahmi, the Original Sideshow Geek, presents his unique combination of dangerous acts and physical comedy, while actor and comedian Matt Pauli will do some plate spinning, cigar box juggling, balancing, and even some banjo ukulele playing. Magician and comedian Karen Beriss will appear, as well as talented juggler Evan Young. Part of Look Both Ways: Street Arts Across America.
