Birdlips are real-life musical vagabonds.  Clifford Usher and Lindsay Pitts, the ethereal duo behind the name, call the road their home.  In the summer of 2009 they quit their day jobs and moved out of their home in Charlottesville, Virginia.  Since then they’ve traversed the country a half dozen times performing and recording.  They’ve recorded EPs in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, and Destin, Florida.

There is some strange magic in their multi-instrumental wanderlust.  It's a beautiful, haunting sound, familiar yet alien, charming but forbidding.  Tracks tend to drift along like kaleidoscopic, prismic waves with glistening harmonies, rich percussion loops, and smoky guitar and keyboard.  Equally striking in appearance and poise, the duo is magnetic to watch.

Birdlips formed in 2007, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Since their inception, they’ve released 4 EPs and 1 full-length album.  Their next album is due out this fall.
