Kristen Gallagher



Biography

Kristen Gallagher, a native of Reading, PA, returns for her fifth season with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, where she has danced in Scotch Symphony, Movements for Piano and Orchestra, Slaughter on Tenth Avnue., A Farewell to Music, and soloist roles in Divertimento #15, Apollo, and Raymonda Variations.  She has also danced with Richmond Ballet for the past 14 years.  Known for her versatility, her most noted roles range from Myrtha in Giselle to the Partisan in Kurt Joos’ The Green Table to a principal in John Butler’s Carmina Burana.  Ms Gallagher has danced principal roles in 20th century classics such as Balanchine’s Serenade, Limon’s The Moors Pavane, Feld’s Contrapose, DeMille’s Rodeo, and Tudor’s Jardin Aux Lilas.  Besides performing, Ms. Gallagher acts as rehearsal assistant for Richmond Ballet and has staged ballets of the highly acclaimed choreographer Val Caniparoli (San Francisco Ballet) for Aspen Ballet Company and Cincinnati Ballet.
