Amy Seawright



Biography

Amy Seawright is a native of Gainesville, Florida.  She began her training there and went on to study at the School of American Ballet on scholarship.  While dancing professionally with Dance Alive! she earned a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida.  In 1992 she joined Miami City Ballet where she was featured in such ballets as Balanchine's Pas de Dix, Raymonda Variations, Agon, Who Cares?, The Four Temperaments, Coffee from The Nutcracker, and Diamonds, as well as Swan Lake, Paul Taylor's Esplanade, and Sir Frederick Ashton's Les Patineurs.  Ms. Seawright toured extensively dancing for Edward Villella at the 1997 Kennedy Center Honors, at Jacob's Pillow, The Spoleto Festival, and The Edinburgh Festival.  This is her third season with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet.
