Lydia Walker



Biography

Lydia Walker, a native New Yorker, began her studies at the School of American Ballet at the age of eight, performing numerous children's roles with New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre.  Lydia danced in Christopher Wheeldon's Scenes de Ballet, Balanchine’s Divertimento No. 15, and Bournonville’s Napoli at SAB workshop.  In 2001, Lydia was an apprentice with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet where she danced in Apollo, La Sonnambula, Momumentum Pro Gesualdo, and Scotch Symphony.  She became a member of Pennsylvania Ballet II in 2001, where she was featured in the Third Theme from The Four Temperaments and the Second Pas de Trois from Agon; she also danced many roles in Pennsylvania Ballet's productions of The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella. Lydia rejoins The Suzanne Farrell Ballet as a member of the Corps de Ballet for the 2003 season.
