Alexander Ritter



Biography

Born in Ottawa, Canada Mr. Ritter started dancing at the age of 12 thanks to his younger brother David. After graduating from the National Ballet School, Mr. Ritter danced with the National Ballet of Canada before moving to New York where he first danced with American Ballet Theatre and then with the New York City Ballet. Since leaving New York City Ballet in 2002 Mr. Ritter has spent a year as an apprentice to a master silver and goldsmith in Warwick, NY, joined The Suzanne Farrell Ballet for her National Tour in 2003 and for her recent Kennedy Center seasons. He has also started teaching dance, while pursuing an undergraduate degree at Fordham University.
