Fire and the Wheel

Biography

Fire in the Wheel is a D.C. based band featuring current and former members of Lightfoot, Mittenfields, Loose Lips, and the Strange Loop. Conceived as a recording project, the band produced a full length concept album before playing their first live show in May of 2012. Since then Fire and the Wheel has been a staple at local indie rock venues and house shows. Drawing inspiration from art rock artists of the 70s like David Bowie and Pink Floyd as well as the more contemporary indie rock of Arcade Fire and Belle and Sebastian, their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album has been called "a surprising tilt of articulate indie rock" and "synth-noir work of art."
