Eivør

Biography

Eivør is a Faroese singer/songwriter with a distinct voice who grew up in Gøta, a little village in the remote Faroe Islands. While her roots are in Faroese ballads, she has a wide range of interests in many kinds of music from rock, jazz, folk, pop, to European classical music. At the age of 15, the young, hopeful girl left school in order to dedicate all of her time to what she loved doing—writing music. Eleven years, five solo albums and numerous awards later, she is now a mature and experienced artist and has become one of the brightest stars on the North Atlantic horizon.
