Gene Donati Orchestra

Long a favorite among clientele who seek out the best, Gene Donati stood in a class by himself, setting a matchless performance standard. With a talent for selecting the music audiences enjoy most, an instinct for what makes a party sizzle and the style to delight any crowd, Gene Donati delivered one memorable occasion after another.

Starting out as a clarinetist from Pittsburgh, his stellar career was filled with engagements any performer would envy. He participated in every Presidential inauguration since John F. Kennedy and the inaugural galas of Presidents Reagan and Bush were nationally televised with Gene Donati participating in every element of production. He and his band performed at the White House for several decades for every administration. Stars such as Frank Sinatra, Melissa Manchester, Gloria Estafan, and Peter, Paul and Mary appeared with Mr. Donati, introducing the glamour element that turned 'just a party' into a stellar event. In addition, Vice President Al Gore's daughter Karenna danced to the Donati Band on her wedding day.

The Gene Donati Orchestra has traveled widely throughout the United States, performing in Cleveland, Maui, Dallas, Los Angeles, and at the Breakers in Palm Beach. The group has entertained at Hunt Balls, Cancer Balls, Debutante Cotillions, and hundreds of other important events. With their artistry, musical surprises, and joie de vivre the orchestra has helped many host and hostesses discover their distinctive events, having their guests remember and revel in their parties for the years to come.
