Astrid Achi



Biography

In 1995, Astrid Achi was a semifinalist in the International Voice Competitions of Luciano Pavarotti, in New York. As a soloist, she has performed in the principal roles of Verdi’s The Traviata, Donizetti’s Elixir dÁmore and Lucia di Lammermoor, and Rossini’s Il babiere di Seviglia. She was invited last year to participate in the International Festival of the Iberoamerican Culture, in Moscow, Russia and was also selected to participate, with voices from throughout Latin America to sing in the Latinamerican Opera Festival in Berlin next year. She will perform as a principal soloist of the Opera Marianita Limeña of the Maister Valdo Sciammarella from Argentina.

Pianist, Ekaterina Poukiria, graduated with honors from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow. She plays for many choirs in Ecuador as principal pianist and has toured in a number of Latin American, European and Asian countries.

Their virtuosity will be demonstrated in the variation of styles and periods and in the difficulty of this program.
