Violinist Jan Chong has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, Washington National Opera, Washington Ballet, Eclipse Chamber Orchestra, National Chamber Players, Minnesota Orchestra and Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.  She has been a solo recitalist at the Corcoran Gallery and performed chamber music at the Smithsonian Institute, the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, and the Hungarian Embassy.

With her husband, NSO violinist Glenn Donnellan, Jan presents programs for young audiences as the Imagination Duo, both at the Kennedy Center Family Theater and in the National Symphony Orchestra's education and community engagement programs in the D.C. public schools.  

Jan studied with Donald Weilerstein at the Cleveland Institute of Music where she received her Bachelor of Music and her Master of Music.  She has played at the Aspen Music Festival, Kent-Blossom Music Festival, National Repertory Orchestra, National Orchestral Institute, and toured the seas of Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East as a chamber music performer for Crystal Cruises maiden voyage of the Crystal Harmony.

Born in Seoul, Korea, Jan grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska, where her love for chamber music began with her sisters, who performed together as the Chong Chamber Players.
