The Boulanger Initiative is a not-for-profit organization launched by co-founders Dr. Laura Colgate and Joy-Leilani Garbutt to champion music created by women, including the music of previous generations, works by living composers, and support for the creation of new music. This program of works by female-identified composers serves as a preview to the Boulanger Initiative’s Launch Festival on March 8–10, which will feature three exciting days of concerts and educational opportunities presented by a wide-ranging group of performers and composers along with mainstage concerts by artists including Jennifer Koh, Missy Mazzoli, Aizuri Quartet, and more.
