Clare Watson is a graduate of Victorian College of the Arts and recently directed On the Production of Monsters for Melbourne Theatre Company's Lawler Studio season. She has directed for the stages of the Sydney Opera House, the Arts Centre Melbourne, the Storeroom, and La Mama. She has also created performance works in a hotel room, the Old Melbourne Gaol, a disused swimming pool, a car, and a crumbling art deco apartment. Her work has won and been nominated for a number of awards including the inaugural Best Director Award for Melbourne Fringe 2005. Ms. Watson has toured productions nationally and internationally. Her stage credits include The Man with the September Face (Full Tilt/Arts Centre), Smashed (Stables), and Hotel (Melbourne Fringe Festival).
