Jenna Nelson



Biography

Jenna Nelson (Corps de Ballet) is from Seattle, Washington and began ballet at the age of 12 in Maple Valley. Jenna trained on full scholarship with the School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and Pacific Northwest Ballet, where she was accepted into the professional dance division and eventually promoted to corps de ballet in 2011. In 2013, Jenna danced with Oregon Ballet Theatre. Her repertory includes Balanchine's Allegro Brillante, Emeralds, and Jerome Robbins's The Concert (Or, The Perils of Everybody), Nacho Duato's Por Vos Muero, and Maggie Mullen's Lost In Light. She has also performed featured roles in Jean-Christophe Mallots's Romeo et Juliette and Nicolo Fonte's Bolero. Jenna has also been exploring her choreographic career. She has made two ballets for Oregon Ballet Theater titled Particles, and most recently a work for Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet titled Invisible (2015). This is Jenna's third season with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet.
