Lynn Manning is an award-winning poet, playwright, actor, and former World Champion of Blind Judo based in Los Angeles. Originally a visual artist, Manning turned to literature after being shot and blinded at age 23. He now paints with words. His work has been featured in a variety of literary magazines and anthologies--most recently, Voices from Leimert Park; Beyond Victims and Villains: Contemporary Plays by Disabled Playwrights; and Weights: One Blind Man's Journey. Manning has performed his critically acclaimed solo play, Weights, from L.A. to off-Broadway, from Edinburgh to Adelaide, and from Croatia to the United Kingdom.
