Mark McCullough


American designer Mark McCullough (Lighting Designer) made his WNO debut with Fidelio (2003) and returned for Die Walküre (2003 and 2007), Porgy and Bess (2005 and 2010), Das Rheingold (2006), Rigoletto (2008), Siegfried (2009), Salome (2010), Hamlet (2010), Don Pasquale (2011), Nabucco (2012), Anna Bolena (2012), and Show Boat (2013). He has illuminated the stages of the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Teatro Real in Madrid, Royal Opera House, Opéra national du Rhin, Opera North, The Dallas Opera, and Opéra de Montréal, as well as productions with The Glimmerglass Festival, San Francisco Opera (including the full Ring directed by Francesca Zambello), Lyric Opera of Chicago, New York City Opera, and Seattle Opera. Broadway productions include After Miss Julie, The American Plan, and Jesus Christ Superstar (revival). His creations have also been seen Off-Broadway and in regional theater companies nationwide. He is an alumnus of the North Carolina School of the Arts and holds a master of fine arts from the Yale School of Drama.
