Chris Venditti is a recent graduate of the Juilliard School and is currently performing and teaching in New York City. As an orchestral musician, he has performed with the Leipzig and Rochester Philharmonics, Harrisburg and New World Symphonies, and the Riverdale Sinfonietta. He can be heard on the American Brass Quintet’s 50th Anniversary CD. Mr. Venditti was the trumpet soloist in the Kennedy Center’s original production of The Trumpet of the Swan in 2008. He was the winner of the 2003 National Trumpet Competition and was also honored with the 2006 Mitzi Award at Juilliard. As a result, he performed his Asian recital debut in Taipei, Taiwan. Mr. Venditti has been a participant in many summer music festivals, including the Spoleto USA festival, the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, and the Aspen Music Festival, where he was the recipient of the newly created Orchestral Fellowship in Trumpet. In the summer of 2008 he toured Germany with the ensemble EUROBRASS. Also an avid music educator, Mr. Venditti is on trumpet faculty at the Geneva Conservatory of music in Manhattan.
