Dylan Keane (Apprentice) Dylan started dancing when he was 16 where he attended the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. After graduating he was offered a contract with Carolina Ballet Theatre. After 3 years and dancing lead roles in La Bayedere, Petroushka, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame he left to attend the graduate program with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. After a year of study he was offered an apprenticeship with Richmond Ballet for 2 years where he performed Paquita, Bluebird, and Valse Fantasy. He also had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Ma Cong, Jessica Lang, Malcolm Burn and learn Rodeo under the direction of Paul Sutherland. This past summer Dylan was fortunate enough to be a part of The Washington Ballet and Imagination Stages bold collaboration of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. This will be his first season with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet.
