Valerie Tellmann


Valerie Tellmann (Corps de ballet) trained with Tulsa Ballet, Lexington Ballet and Richmond Ballet. She attended the Richmond Ballet's trainee program and joined the full company in 2000 and her repertoire includes Giselle, Malcolm Burn's Romeo and Juliet, and Balanchine's Valse Fantasie, Liebeslieder Waltzes, Concerto Barocco, Allegro Brillante and Sanguinic in The Four Temperaments.  Other performed works include Anthony Tudor's Jardin Aux Lilas, John Butler's Carmina Burana and Agnes de Mille's Rodeo and A Rose For Miss Emily. She has originated roles with Ma Cong, Jessica Lang, Gina Patterson, Mauricio Wainrot, Val Caniparoli, William Soleau, Phillip Neal, and Malcolm Burn.  She is a current member of the Richmond Ballet, Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance,  and National Choreographers Initiative.  This is her first season dancing with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet.
