Kristen Foster is Executive Vice President and head of the Music Department at PMK*BNC, the world's largest entertainment PR firm. She has spent two decades in myriad dynamic public relations leadership positions within the music and film businesses.
Foster manages the image and press campaigns for the top names in music and oversees the company's music roster which includes Eric Clapton, Lionel Richie, R. Kelly, Harry Connick Jr., Peter Gabriel, Seal, Joan Jett, George Michael, Jennifer Nettles, the late Whitney Houston, and many more. She also helps artists re-entering the marketplace such as New Kids On The Block, with the challenges of a changing media landscape.
Within the scope of touring, Foster has overseen tour-specific PR campaigns for both Live Nation and AEG, including the hugely popular Justin Bieber tour, Britney Spears tour, New Kids On The Block/Backstreet Boys tour, and many more. Foster has also worked on music/film campaigns including the recent release of Sound City by Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, which received strong critical acclaim and box office success after playing at the Sundance Film Festival and SXSW. Foster also handled all of Madonna's film ventures for her directorial debut Filth & Wisdom, and her documentary I Am Because We Are.
Prior to joining PMK*BNC in 2007, Foster was the Founder of KFPR, a company she opened in 2000 as a music and film publicity firm offering public relations, entertainment, and overall imaging campaigns. That company was a leader in developing PR programs for musical artists and filmed concert entertainment, including the release of the George Harrison Tribute Concert For George. Prior to opening KFPR, she was Vice President of Public Relations at USA Films and before that spent several years at PolyGram in various positions.
Ms. Foster started her career in Washington D.C., interning in the Office of the Chief of Public Affairs, Department of Defense, writing for military publications such as Soldiers Magazine and the Pentagram.
