Starting out as a clarinetist from Pittsburgh, Gene Donati has had a stellar career filled with engagements any performer would envy. He has participated in every Presidential inauguration since John. F. Kennedy. The inaugural galas of Presidents Reagan and Bush were nationally televised with Donati participating in every element of production. He and his band have performed at the White House for several decades for every administration. Stars such as Frank Sinatra, Melissa Manchester, Gloria Estafan, Peter Paul and Mary, and a host of others have appeared with Donati and his orchestra. Vice President Al Gore's daughter Karenna danced to the Donati Band on her wedding day. Donati and his 15-piece big band have traveled widely throughout the United States, performing in Cleveland, Maui, Dallas, Los Angeles, and at the Breakers in Palm Beach.
