Da Originalz formed in March 2009. They represent part of Washington, DC’s go-go culture with their unique style of dance, “Beat Ya Feet.” Even though they reside in Washington, DC, they are well recognized beyond the DMV area. These highly talented young men never fail to captivate audiences with their presence and raw talent, but Da Originalz are more than just a dance group.
They are an establishing organization committed to the artistic growth and educating of young males and females. They uphold this commitment by producing shows and video projects, launching educational workshops around the city in the area of health/fitness, African culture, life skills, and geometry, which are all taught through dance. Da Originalz prioritize using dance as a building block and stepping stone for developing future inspirations in the minds of today's youth.
This presentation of two U.S. regional dance street crews showcases the hip-hop dance prowess of Da Originalz from Washington, D.C. and the "Queen of Krump" Miss Prissy from Los Angeles. Part of One Mic: Hip-Hop Culture Worldwide.
