Biography

Chris Gethard is the host of the cult public access hit The Chris Gethard Show, the author of the book A Bad Idea I’m About to Do, and has been heard on This American Life as well as seen on The Office, Louie, The Other Guys, and Iron Man 3. He’s a mainstay performer at New York’s Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, where he’s been performing for 12 years. He was named one of Variety’s ten comics to watch in 2010 and The Chris Gethard Show has been reviewed in the New York Times, inspired New York Magazine to refer to Chris as the “Carson of Cable Access”, and lead to Gethard being interviewed on both Conan and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Comedian Chris Gethard takes the stage with an opening set by Courtney Fearrington. Gethard is the host of the cult public access hit The Chris Gethard Show and author of the book A Bad Idea I’m About to Do. He is a mainstay performer at New York’s Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, where he has been performing for 12 years, and was named one of Variety’s “Ten Comics to Watch” in 2010. This program contains mature themes and strong language. Free general admission tickets will be distributed in the States Gallery starting at approximately 5:30 p.m., up to 2 tickets per person.
