Judy Simmons most recently appeared in the L.A. Theatre Works production of Gore Vidal’s The Best Man and Studio Theatre’s presentation of William Finn’s A New Brain. She also performed in Barefoot in the Park for L.A. Theatre Works, which was subsequently broadcast on NPR. Other performances include A Christmas Carol at Ford’s Theatre; Bells Are Ringing and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at the Kennedy Center; Sweeney Todd, Assassins, Company, and A Stephen Sondheim Evening at Signature Theatre and Mourning Becomes Electra at The Shakespeare Theatre. Judy has also performed and produced numerous cabaret presentations, serving as producer-director of the wildly successful cabaret series at Signature Theatre and as the director of OUT in the Spotlight at Source Theatre. Judy has frequently appeared at the Smithsonian in its American Song series and includes among her one-woman cabaret shows, the shows Not in Kansas Anymore, Here and Now, and Get Happy.
