Mandy Brown


Mandy Brown , proclaimed “consistently impressive” by the DC Theater Scene and “completely winning” by the Chautauquan Daily, is a soprano who is sure to charm. Her performances have brought her praise for her rich warm voice and refreshing honesty in her dramatic interpretations. With extensive experience in opera, oratorio, and recital, Ms. Brown has performed with Chautauqua Opera, Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, Friendship Heights Symphonette, Opera On Tap DC Metro, Lyric Opera of Wichita, Maryland Opera Studio, Opera in the Ozarks, as well as venues such as the Kennedy Center and Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. Some of Brown’s recent performances include being a guest recitalist with Delores Ziegler for Exotic Voices, the 2013-2014 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions Mid-Atlantic Region at the Kennedy Center, Nannetta in Falstaff with Chautauqua Opera, featured soloist on Wagner & Verdi: A 200th Birthday Celebration Concert and the Chautauqua Opera Annual Pops Concert, a 2013 Apprentice Artist with Chautauqua Opera, Lady With A Hand Mirror/ Postcard From Morocco and the title role in Amelia al Ballo with the Maryland Opera Studio. Her other main stage roles include Camilla Pocket/Miss Havisham’s Fire, Rose Maurrant/Street Scene, Despina/Cosi Fan Tutte, Beth March/Little Women, Soeur Constance/Les Dialogues des Carmélites, Madame Silberklang/The Impresario, and La Princesse/L’Enfant et les Sortileges.
