Marshall Costan

Marshall Costan loves to make music.  His bluesy, southern sound reflects his Virginia roots, and yet it remains unique.  After a brief stint at a commercial music house in Richmond Virginia, Costan left to focus his creative energy on his own music.   Costan says he sees no boundaries in music, and he plays most of the instruments on his recordings.  While not formally trained in music production, Costan has developed an ear for good riffs and tight melodies.  He believes in a natural, raw sound: no studio magic.  His influences vary wildly, from the Jimi Hendrix and Bob Seger rock he grew up listening to with his dad, to the Sonic Youth of his formative years, to the soulful, powerful sounds of Otis Redding.
