The Chancel Choir of Westminster Presbyterian Church sings each Sunday at two of the four services. The choir has over 100 members that come from a large congregation with over 2,000 members.
The Chancel Choir is the backbone of the music ministry at Westminster and has recorded many CDs. Each year they present three Christmas concerts with a full orchestra and over 2000 people come to hear them. They have performed in the ballroom at the world renowned Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, and in Philadelphia singing Schubert's “Mass in G.”
The choir’s repertoire includes major works like Mozart's “Coronation Mass,” Faure’s “Requiem,” Mendelssohn’s “Elijah,” Vivaldi’s “Gloria,” and selections from one of the choir’s favorite composers, John Rutter. During the summer of 2007 the choir traveled to Europe and sang concerts throughout Germany with a culminating performance as one of the featured choirs in the Salzburg Choral Festival.
