Kate Brett



Biography

Kate Brett is an award-winning banjo player who cut her teeth on old-time music in Illinois, and then moved to West Virginia, where she spent a number of years backing up some of the older-generation traditional fiddlers. She is married to Kevin Enoch. Both have been in two different first-place bands at the West Virginia Appalachian String Band Festival in recent years.

Enjoy an energetic evening of traditional Appalachian music and square dancing at the Pre-Thanksgiving Square Dance. Leah Weiss (fiddle), Gary Wright (guitar), Kate Brett (banjo), and Kevin Enoch (bass) rock the dance tunes, and Janine Smith teaches and calls the figures from 5–7 pm. You’ll be square dancing before you know it!
