Dearborn Community Chorus

The Dearborn Community Chorus (DCC) was founded in 1963 as one of the many cultural organizations sponsored by the City of Dearborn Recreation Department. This 60-plus member choir is dedicated to setting an example of excellence in choral singing, while offering its members an opportunity to have fun and enjoy each other’s companionship. Rehearsals are held from 7-9pm on Tuesdays during the concert season, which runs from September through May. The DCC always welcomes new members (age 16 or older) with an ability and desire to sing, and who enjoy having fun. No audition required!

The Dearborn Community Chorus (DCC) believes an important part of singing is the opportunity to be musical “ambassadors” to other communities and countries. Domestically DCC has performed in Mackinaw City, Michigan(2003); Cleveland, Ohio(2004); London, Ontario(2005); Holland, Michigan(2006); Toledo, Ohio (2008); Frankenmuth, Michigan(2010); in the World Choir Games Competition held in Cincinnati, Ohio(2012); at the Lilac Festival on Mackinac Island (2013), Chicago (2015). In addition, members of the choir have also sung and toured internationally in England and France(2002), Salzburg and Vienna in Austria(2006), Belgium and Holland(2008), Germany(2010), Montreal, Canada(2011), Latvia/Estonia (2014), and Puerto Rico(2016).
