Terry McDermott


Terry McDermott is a Scottish born singer, songwriter, and television personality. Although he gained initial acclaim in the music business in 2006 with his band Driveblind on Geffen Records, he shot to widespread popularity as a contestant on Team Blake of Season 3 on NBC’s The Voice. McDermott finished second overall that season, making the iTunes Rock Chart Top 10 a number of times while on the show, singing before a television audience of nearly 15 million people on the season finale. His time on The Voice earned him a loyal and active fan base that closely follows his career. After The Voice, McDermott and former touring partner Todd Burman wrote an iTunes Rock Chart Number One hit, “Pictures.” The immediate sensation was written, recorded, mastered, and on top of the rock chart pile in less than a week, parlaying the attention of American television audiences into a hit with a song of true quality. McDermott continued to work with Burman on follow up singles, “In Your Eyes” and “Lose This Feeling,” both breaking Top 20 on different iTunes Charts. 2014 saw shows from Alaska to Belize and the release of single “Hi Steppin He reunited with Lotus Crush in 2014, releasing sophomore album Rabbit Hole in 2015. In early 2016, Billboard debuted the music video to Lotus Crush track “All The Same,” directed by iconic actor C. Thomas Howell. McDermott is currently writing and recording his new EP, “Such Beautiful Destruction.” Fans may pre-order and find more information on McDermott resides in New Orleans with his wife and their two young children.
