Swamp Romp

Biography

From the U.S. Army Band, “Pershing’s Own” in Washington, DC we proudly present Swamp Romp!

Formed in the late 1990’s by Louisiana expatriates Harry Watters (trombone) and Graham Breedlove (trumpet), Swamp Romp has delighted audiences across the nation with the joyous sounds of south Louisiana for over twenty years. Now entering their third decade, Swamp Romp is using their experience playing (and eating!) throughout south Louisiana to create an exciting gumbo of traditional New Orleans jazz, Zydeco, Cajun music and original compositions that’s sure to delight music fans young and old. The only constant for Swamp Romp is no two performances are the same! The group has appeared in nationally televised broadcasts on ESPN and Food Network, and has made several trips to post-Katrina New Orleans to work with Americorps and Habitat for Humanity. Come spend an evening with Swamp Romp and enjoy a trip to the Big Easy without ever leaving your seat. As we say in south Louisiana, “Laissez le bon temps rouler, cher!”
