Miss H.E.R.

She was a DJ, before she was a DJ.  Undoubtedly Miss H.E.R. has taken the world by storm and has not looked back.   During H.E.R. short yet eventful career, she has a resume worth bragging about.   She has earned four weekly/monthly residencies at popular D.C. venues, deejayed on live TV, soundtracked numerous corporate gigs, and made several club appearances in the D.C. metropolitan area.  In addition, she has performed an opening set for famed story-teller and iconic emcee KRS-One of Boogie Down Productions during his Stop The Violence tour.  She was also invited by the legendary DJ Scratch of EPMD to perform a set on Scratch Vision that has amassed 10K members.  Miss H.E.R has even traveled internationally for gigs, in which one landed her a guest set on a Norwegian Cruise ship, and at club Eivissa in Cartagena, Colombia.

It’s obvious to anyone that hears Miss H.E.R. spin that she takes pride in the music she chooses. Of course, she can rock any party with Top 40 and Billboard 100 tracks that you hear on the radio, but her passion for music runs deep and can really be felt when she is free to be creative. Golden Era and Indie Hip-Hop, 70s thru 00s soul, R&B, funk, disco, soul, rare grooves, soulful house, and international riddims are her main ingredients. She brings you the music you know and the music you need to know–music that she believes will move you as much as it does her.  With all the gigs she has spun and mixes she has recorded and posted, she constantly receives unsolicited positive feedback.   When she is not sharpening her skills on the tables, she is looking for the next hot artist/track to incorporate into her library for your listening pleasure. When she spins, she tells a story and connects to her listeners. DJ’ing has been a dream for most of “H.E.R.” life, and now she is finally awake and living it.
