Biography

Jay Hayden is no stranger to the world of R&B. He has performed widely, with appearances at Fox News, the Verizon Center, D.C. Convention Center, Blues Alley, The Birchmere, and Rams Head Live!,  as well as many local clubs, private events, concerts, and showcases.

Although Mr. Hayden counts many accomplishments as a solo artist, he has also partnered with many successful performers, producers, and companies throughout the industry such as Tank, Raheem Devaughn, Ashford & Simpson, Debra Cox, Dwele, Jon B, Kindred “The Family” Soul, Eric Roberson, platinum-selling producers Roy Hamilton and Glen Mosley, BET, E-Entertainment Television, Fox NFL Sports, UPN 20, Sony Pictures, and Universal Pictures, among others.

Love Counseling, his debut CD, showcases Mr. Hayden on piano, acoustic guitar, and other instruments. It captures the essence of soulful R&B with a deep romantic twist inspired by Tank, Brian McKnight, Donnie Hathaway, and Baby-Face. His compassionate understanding of the struggles, joys, and pains we all experience in love, relationships, and heartbreak pulsates through every note and illuminates why he refers to his music as Love Counseling.

His first single “No Where,” which hit Billboard’s top 100, has been featured on the nationally syndicated Michael Baisden Show, and is currently playing on Washington, D.C.’s own 96.3 WHUR-FM, as well as stations around the world.
